Sex Before Workout:

Good:

Research demonstrates that testosterone levels rise as a response to sexual stimuli. Therefore, an athlete could benefit by being exposed to a sexual relation prior to his workout. He could then exercise with increased testosterone levels and aggression.

Bad:

When you do engage in sexual activity before training sessions, then this may reduce your ability to push yourself to the max and see progress quickly.

Sex After Workout:

Good:

One hour post-exercise, the athlete should achieve ejaculation. Depending on your energy levels it might not be your all-time best performance but it feels great to have sex while you’ve got those workout endorphins already happening. The increase in killer cells will prevent over-training.

Bad:

Sex is great but defiantly not after working out because your body when you *** produces a hormone called testosterone which is the same when you workout while you need to let your body rest. It can cause you to feel tired and weak and you could faint.

Science:

Sex and Dopamine:

Sexual activity facilitates the release of dopamine, a simple neurotransmitter and monoamine that plays a role in the synthesis and release of epinephrine (adrenalin). The increase in heart rate that accompanies sexual arousal is a function of dopamine’s impact on adrenalin release.
Dopamine plays a role in addiction and pleasure seeking behaviors because it is a “feel good” hormone.

Sex and Prostate Cancer:

Prior to the scientific study of the ejaculation process, it was believed that frequent ejaculations were linked to increased prostate cancer rates. Not only has emerging research refuted this idea, but new research has demonstrated that increased ejaculation frequency in the mid-to-late 20’s was correlated with LOWER prostate cancer rates!
Academia and established medicine think that an increase in the frequency of ejaculations serves to protect the prostate from damage. It does so by clearing the prostate of seminal fluid that may contain DNA damaging carcinogens.

Sex and Heart Health:

Heart health is essential to athletic performance. The heart pumps oxygenated blood to vital organs and muscles. Poor heart function can lead to decreased endurance, impaired performance, and stunted muscular growth.
Thankfully, research has shown that sexual arousal stimulates adrenalin and thermogenesis (fat burning). Adrenalin taps into adipose (fatty) tissue for energy, and this explains why sexual activity is associated with being slim.

Sex and Testosterone Levels:

Since testosterone is a significant hormone in the muscle building process, and is also part of what makes a male a male. There is a connection here.
After engaging in sexual activity testosterone levels drop. However, males who engage in regular sexual activities typically find that their testosterone levels increase over time (increased sex produces increased levels of testosterone). That increase in testosterone delivers faster, more noticeable gain in overall strength.

Sex and Zinc:

Since zinc is a nutrient that is also closely related to testosterone levels and proper growth in the body, lower levels of zinc, in time, will hinder your progress.
One simple way to address this nutritional shortfall is to consume supplements that contain zinc. ZMA is typically the top choice for lifters because it’s combined with magnesium, another nutrient important to healthy growth and an increase in overall strength.

Sex, Pre or Post Workout? It is up to you!

Sexual activity is an integral part of human life. So maintain an active, healthy sex life. Just time your workouts so they don’t interfere with sexual or workout performance. Both activities should be included in a well-balanced life.  As long as you engage in sex long before or after a workout, sexual activity helps you see quality results faster.
